No Nigerian abroad has requested to be evacuated – Minister of Foreign Affairs

Despite the Coronavirus pandemic raging around the world, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffery Onyeama has revealed that no Nigerian residing abroad has asked to be evacuated back home.

Onyeama said this when he spoke at the daily briefing of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 in Abuja on Tuesday, March 31st.

As of now, we do not have any request from any of the embassies from Nigerians wishing to be evacuated from various countries. But certainly, if we receive notification from any of our embassies, we will react accordingly” he said.
