As part of attempts to curb further spread of the coronavirus, the Lagos state government instituted lock-down measures and banned public gatherings. With only 11 confirmed cases at that time, the state government has asked schools to shut down and banned public gatherings of more than 50 people, particularly religious congregations.
Eventually, as more cases were recorded, religious congregations were forced to shut down and clergymen resorted to conducting services online. The “Zanku” boss who is a faithful Christian took to his Instagram page to share a video of himself and the rest of his crew watching a service online. The pastor precached that everyone should be calm and exercise restraint during the coronavirus pandemic
